The irony of wolves. It is always portrayed as trickster and
dishonest creatures that cannot be trusted. In reality, however, wolves are
loyal and faithful to their partners. Once paired, wolves maintain their partnership
and raise their offspring together.
Ever since I was a
little child, I always thought that wolves are really evil and corrupt creatures. But I
no longer think the same way. I was watching “A Werewolf Boy” last night (which
I downloaded weeks ago but wait for the right time to watch). It is a Korean movie
about a werewolf boy falling in love with human. Long story short, the touching
part is when the werewolf boy waited for many years for the woman to come back
for him. In this movie, the werewolf cannot speak at all, but in the end, he
can speak just to fulfill his promise to read her the story book she have given
him many years before, when the woman was still young. He still lives in the
same barn next to the woman’s house, because he knows that the woman will come
back one day for him. I like how the writer/director point out that the
werewolf boy is very faithful to the woman, although they cannot be together
and the woman married other people, he was still waiting for her. That’s what loyalty
looks like human! (The werewolf boy did not aged! Well, probably because he is
a mutant)
It was a great movie. I
always like Song Joong Ki and Park Bo young together. They are adorable! I want
to watch the alternate ending but couldn’t find it anywhere. Garrrrrrrr!
