Old stuff Younger self

Inspired by Santi's post about our old younger self, this one is for u. and Cyril too! (cyril read this and then click my nuff huh =D) This is us back in 2010 when we were young and free, very young.

Our first and last yakult. coz it tastes horrible.

now that i am reminded of my young self, one thing I can conclude is, gosh Cyril, u look thin. OMG! OK,kidding. but seriously. you are skinnier back then.

Ok, back to serious topic, back in 2010, mark the first year of our journey or should I say "adventure" here in IPG Ipoh. We were gullible, innocent, naïve and immature. All things seem new to us. That year also marked the first time we were away from our family, separated by land and sea for a certain period of time.  Meeting new friends, doing new things, adapting new environment was never my cup of tea. I’ve been in my comfort zone for too long that coping with new things seem a burden to me. I remember back then, I cried every night. My parents called me every day. I guess my parents were worried (and still is) because I was the first in my family to further studies far away from home and the fact that I am a girl myself make them worry more.  So I guess I was immature back then. VERY immature.

But I’m glad I was surrounded by nice people. I often heard about bullying happens in a new place, but I guess it didn't happen to me cause all my classmate are NICE people! (Even though the first two weeks was awkward and shit. So many people with different background and stuff, how am I supposed to cope with everything! But that was then.) And I’m glad I have two Sabahan friends who I regard as angel sent by God, one is you Santi because I know you since kindergarten, like forever and of course Cyril because he is just *Cyril.

*explanation for “Cyril” term = Someone who is willing to help others regardless of their difficulty. Someone who is raised as responsible person. Someone who is a good friend. Someone who is generous in terms of money aka BANK.

Learning styles, everyone has one.

What is learning styles? According to what I read (read study *cough*) from Edu PPG notes, 

learning styles refers to the psychological traits of students in processing, interpreting, collect information on knowledge and skills and in turn reacts with its environment.

 Nuff said.

I have friend who prefers to study on their own, others like to study in group, studying in a quiet and calm place and many others styles. You name it. I, for one, like to study while listening to music. I don’t remember who ask me this before “can you really study while listening music? Doesn't it distract you?” my answer, a simple “DON’T KNOW”. It’s a habit and old habits die hard you see.

I have this habit where every time I eat in my room (here in campus), it is a must to have something to watch, whether it is a movie or drama. Mostly, it’s a Korean drama though. I cannot eat without this thing accompany me. It’s the same at home. Now, I know, it’s a bad habit, but again old habits die hard bro.  

So back to the topic, I like to listen to music while studying, I just do. Even if it means distracting my study. But did you know that listening to music can actually help in your study. Hah! This is what I got from certain website, quote “English, Drama or Art students listen to emotive rock and pop music. ‘Songs like Katy Perry’s Firework and I Can’t Get No (Satisfaction) by The Rolling Stones produce a heightened state of excitement that is likely to enhance creative performance.” ah huh! who would ever thought that huh. 

But like I said, everyone has their own learning styles. If you are like me, who likes to listen to songs while studying, study when there's only one week before exam, watching movies and drama leisurely when you know you still haven’t cover almost ALL (ALL, like 90%) the topics for the exam, telling other people you want to study when in fact what you did is the opposite, download dramas and movies and TV series, sleeps more than you should be, don’t worry buddy,

yes, im cannibal. ada aku kesah?

ok, thats bullshit. im not cannibal, not a human eater too. and yeah, this is my first time ever, using AKU in my entry. i think. ya, im TAMBUNAN SABAHAN, which means I use SAYA as my kata ganti nama yg pertama. but after 1 year 3 months lives in MALAYSIA, ok i mean PERAK. i'd adapted this semenanjung culture. for them AKU is used if they communicate with friends while SAYA is used when communicate or having conversation with someone that is older, like lecturers, teachers, mak cik jual cucur udang, pak cik jual goreng pisang. (correct me if i'm wrong). while in sabah, SAYA is more polite. but it is different in different state. for example, people from sandakan tend to use AKU. but for us TAMBUNAN-IAN, using AKU is like putting urself as a laughing stock. this is serious. and no, my name is not serious. (if u don't get the jokes then u r a loser, ok kidding =P) but sabahan tend to alter this SAYA into much more simpler word. for example, SAYA=SA. same goes to KAU=KO. nice aite?

ok. cut the crap. my intro is out of topic.

ok. once again. no im not cannibal. but i love meat. seriously. this is sudden. yeah i love chicken and fish, but now im totally into beef. mati aku. beef sangat mahal ok. but i think i know why. remember FAMILY OUTING? yeah. because of that. family outing had showed me the delicious-ness of meat. everytime they cooked dinner, mesti ada daging. paling sedap of course, beef. my favourite. hah, dari situla tiba-tiba jadi beef maniac. seriously, if i go to TASNIM (ini gerai makanan), it is a must to order nasi goreng USA. apaka itu? ok, its a nasi goreng with beef and egg and of course with this not-appetizing bawang segala bawang. ewwww~ so the story goes like this, its been 3 days since i last eat rice. sob sob. then tadi tiba-tiba, kelaparan tidak dapat dibendung lagi. nampak maggie macam mau vomit seluruh katil. ok exageration. hujan pun turun dengan lebatnya. and me, dengan bodohnya thought that no one will go out in this kind of weather. so, tunggu tunggu and tunggu. hujan renyai-renyai. with no further ado, grab my money and outing card and also umbrella, keluar alone. the thing is, its 8.00pm and its raining and the distance is not that near. maybe 1.5km-2km? berani kan. ini semua  kerana sya suda jadi kanibal!! ok. bullshit. its just that i want to eat beef. and of course rice. tak kesah la jauh mana, mahal ka, yang penting perut kenyang hati gumbira..yihaaaa..and i posted this in FB, (minta puji) and one of my friend said that, "this is what i call determination". and ya..anda sangat betul. DETERMINATION SAVES LIFE. where to find a brave girl like this. and i end up kena marah santi. ouh, sya minta maaf. i just don't want to trouble people. and talking about that, yes. I HATE PEOPLE YANG HANYA TAHU TO TROUBLE OTHER PEOPLE. get lost loser. boo hooo for yaa.. yes you.

so yeah, bukan. aku bukan la kanibal yang makan human flesh itu. itu sangat jijik dan tidak berperikemanusiaan ok. aku cuma makan daging lembu saja, and ayam, ikan, kambing (kadang-kadang). aku tak makan daging lain selain yang aku sebutkan tadi. oh ada satu. itu aku diam2 la..haha

*i sound stupid using aku. but hey, we are one malaysia!!

ini ialah nasi goreng USA yang aku sanggup jalan ber km km kerana. (direct translation eh?) oh dan daging itu kelihatan sikit, dan telur itu dimasak dengan perfect and of course bawang bawang annoying. price cukup lumayan RM5 per person. ^^

Raining Ceremony

today(18 Oct), our college err, institute organized this i'm-not-sure-what-is-the-name-but-it-is-a-relay-run. im one of the representative from our class. shima,quek,weiyin,divya and me are the representative from our class and the only K unit TESL that take part in this relay run. hell yeah K12! syed,mark,cyril,ihsan and firdaus are the representative for boys. well, is it a custom or maybe it just us that TESL group always WIN..ok i lie, we lost. but, we are proud of our self because we are the only TESL group from K unit. PARTICIPATION IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WINNING. arigato gozaimas!! we end up in last place, same for the boys and girls. we worked hard though, its just that our stamina is not build to run such distance. we cannot afford to run that much since we TESL group never expose to this running-walking thingy. we don't have any subject that require us to use a lot of energy. oh maybe GERKO, playing tennis. which we only play 2 hours, once a week. pffftttt.

the girls run for 2.5KM which each of us run 500M. and we need to run fast since this is relay and not jogging like we always do in PJ subject. hahaha.. i ran real fast, i managed to get 4th place but unfortunately i was the third runner, so it didn't make any big different. divya is the 1st runner, weiyin 2nd, im 3rd, khaixian 4th and shima last. it was a great experience though. we waited until the closing ceremony and it was raining. pffffttt.. btw, it was nice "showering" in the rain.

after that, we have night class at 8PM. at first i dont wanna come, but its LDS so.... "if you fail then who gonna help you?" (MARK LIM 2011) *sigh* but, its weird how i can be so energetic and not tired at all. and i cannot even sleep now. insomnia! maybe because of the rain..hmmm.. LOVE RAIN!!

actually nothing special on this very date..it just that today is our class SGM (semestrial general meeting) and again I will be the coordinator for social studies =.="
and I learn one thing, being unpopular does mean something..hehehe..
and 3 days more i will be back..to where? my beloved sabah.. how i miss sabah and my home..also my family and also my friends...especially my heart,aldo..T.T
and...today i start my new addiction to another korean drama "my princess".. actually i should have watch it long time ago, i got the dvd which i borrow from lala.. but i never have the chance to watch because of my tight schedule(cehh,macam artis la pula) and now, it is already 2.26am and i still cannot take my eyes off that drama..haha! well, its ok for me cause i have nothing to do, i don't have exam..xD
so thats for now, gonna continue my drama..oo seung heon,,nomo nomo chua..yipuda!!! but, still cannot fight my geunsuk oppa...but still lose to my aldo oppa..hihi
*first thing i wanna do when i get back sabah is,,sleep in my room and eat home made food by my beloved mom, i miss u mom!!*

I'm hypocrite, and I hate pretender..

Sucks...Sucks when people do things that I don't like but I actually do the same thing. Sucks Me.! I try not to be hypocrite, but sometimes the feelings just won't go away... I cannot judge a person, which is so obvious. Only God can judge us. I know what I’m doing and I am aware of the consequences...like the peribahasa “berani buat berani tanggung”…

I hate pretender, which is irony because me myself is a damn loser PRETENDER! I hate it when I don’t like this particular person, I have to pretend to like the person. I hate it so much that I want to rip my heart out...huh! People think they know me, but no. I have the biggest secret in my life that no one knows...Sound mystery isn’t it? miahaha.. yes..firstly,God created the sky in blue colour.why? well,i don't know the answer for that..:P i like to take pictures of the sky..whenever i look up,the blue sky makes me feel calm and soothing..like some kind of spell or magic,i'm mesmerized by it. i can sit for hour watching the blue sky. yes,i like blue. but no,its not my favourite though. these are some pictures i took with my handphone. and now how i wish i have a camera so that i can take pictures as many as i want.. saving money for it now..
