The Witch and The Golden Touch (and other stuff)

In my previous post, I wrote about our LGA 3104 assignment which was to stage a play (that actually carries only 30 marks, the hell).

Guess what? We got the highest mark. Oh yeah baby. We have 5 characters which were King Midas and his beloved Queen and Princess, the witch and the brave gardener. I took a role as an evil witch, who 

“actually in love with the King Midas, but he rejected her and chase her out from his kingdom and is now back to take revenge but fall in love with the gardener instead. The gardener actually in love with the queen and the princess is actually the witch daughter”. 

Our initial plan was this but since the play was for a year 4 kids, we couldn’t make it as twisted as we want so we just stick to the usual “repent-happy ending” story.

“The witch curse king - king become gold - queen ask for help - gardener help queen - gardener kill witch - curse broken - king repent - gardener marries princess - happy ending” Yup, that pretty much sums up our story. Blerggh I did not get a happy ending.

Ya know, I’ve been playing evil character since high school. Freaking evil character. It’s not like I am evil or what, it just that no one can play the evil character as good as me (seriously, this was what my friends told me in high school, and also here in IPG, oh God why). One time! Only one time I got the chance to play a good character. Which was during our Macbeth staging 3 years ago and I played a doctor. If I did the audition, I’d probably be playing Macbeth’s wife (maybe la okay), which was also evil. Gosh the dialogues to be memorized was so long I backed out during audition. I HATE MEMORIZING. I like spontaneous acting. Much easier.

So, next next week is practicum. How do I feel? Mmmmmmmm.ok.

Next week holiday. Happy before agonizing maybe?

Stickman, King Midas and others

Yesterday was Thaipusam, which I never bother to celebrate because as I grew up in Sabah, Thaipusam had never been a state holiday. I mean only certain states celebrate it (and got one day holiday) so when I first experience this celebration here in Perak, well, I have nothing much to say though, except to boast about it to my Sabahan friends at SABAH (because yunno Sabah no holiday, hoho)

So, I’ve been diligently jogging every evening. We have this regular team joggers (all are classmates), which I just realize just now, are all BORNEO people! Ok except for Pidah who is a Kelantanese. It’s not like we didn’t expand our “jogger community” to other classmates, but every time I invite them to our “let’s go jogging so we lose fat evening”, they always give excuses. Well, who am I to judge. Everyone has their own way of losing fat (and be healthy *cough*).

Back to the title, we have this one subject LGA – language arts, where this Sem we are required to stage a drama or play as an assignment (I think, is it?). Since this subject has no exam, our play/drama will probably carries 100% marks. I hope no UAK because I so lazy to study ok.

So my teammates include 5 people. It is so difficult to come out with one decent play yunno. Nevertheless, we choose King Midas – the King who has gold touch. And of course we adapt it so that each of us have our own character and a fair share of screen time during the play. BUT, that is also a problem for us! We are still discussing about the plot and doing drafts here and there. We have to finish everything by March and stage our play early March. We pretty much don’t have enough time. But whatever.   

So this was our first draft from Pidah (which is not so clear) and his stickman. Which is probably better than my stickman.

Idle Holiday

I'm going to start my assignmentssss this week. (note that I put many "s" at the end of my assignment, yeah I have a lot of assignments)

Take a Sip

6 days more. I just can't wait to go back. I miss my family so much. So much that tears come out every time I think of them. You wouldn't know that feeling unless you one of me. Meaning that you study far from family. I know it is just within Malaysia, Sabah-Perak, Perak-Sabah but don't judge me. Yeah, I wouldn't know the feeling of my seniors who study abroad, in Warwick. I wouldn't know wouldn't I, because I will never have the chance to go there and deep inside my heart I'm so glad that government would not send us there. =)

~first time having this subject in sem 3..chinca bulla (really don't know) anything about this subject..=.=" they said this subject important because we will have to take this subject in our degree next year..

~we need to do some research regarding this assignment question and make a documentary based on the topic we choose..our group choose war in sudan..i wonder how the documentary turn out to be, everyone die is it??haha..xD

~this is simple..only present themes..haha we always do presentation in class, so its not that big matter..we are also required to write an essay..for me, this is the easiest task among all the assignments given.. perhaps?xD

6. MT (Mathematics) = 12/9/2011

~i don't understand what Teslian have to do with learning Maths, again...do we have to teach Math in school later? my Maths period is gone 2 years ago.. this Maths thingy, not my cuppa tea anymore..
